Quietly hide your wishes in a tenugui towel.

At first glance, this pattern looks like a heart.
A traditional Japanese pattern called "Inome."
As an auspicious design that wards off evil and brings good fortune,
It has also been used as a roof decoration called "gegyo" at shrines and temples.

There are various theories about its origin,
Those shaped like boar's eyes,
Alternatively, it is said to have originated from the leaves of the linden tree.

In a way that is easy to incorporate into your daily life,
A pattern that quietly harbors meaning.
This is also the reason why wanonuno chose this pattern as the "first generation."

This piece is finished using the traditional Japanese dyeing method, chusen.

This tenugui is not inkjet or pigment printed,
It is dyed using the traditional Japanese dyeing technique called chusen.

"Chū-sen" is a traditional dyeing technique that is used in approximately 70 to 80 percent of the dyed tenugui currently in circulation.
Fold 30 to 40 pieces of dough,
Place the mold and pour the dye on top.
Because everything is done by hand,
High skill is required to reproduce the fine patterns.

The dye penetrates deep into the core of the thread,
Beautiful dyeing with no front or back,
It creates a soft texture that feels good on the skin.
The fading and fluctuation that can only be achieved through handwork is also part of the charm of this fabric.

It's much more flexible to use than you might think.
Wipe your hands, reduce sweat, wipe your glasses or smartphone.
Wear it casually around your neck or in your bag.
Just by adding a little Japanese touch to your clothes or Western items,
It changes the atmosphere of your outfit. It is a fabric with such "usable margins."
